A Marion County man was killed and woman from Baxter County seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Ozark County Monday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP)says 59-year-old Michael R. Clark of Flippin was killed and 68-year-old Patricia L. Hobbs of Jordan was injured. Both were taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center where Clark was pronounced dead.
The MSHP says the accident happened when the vehicle driven by Hobbs crossed the centerline and struck Clark’s vehicle head-on. Clark was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened 6 miles south of Gainesville on Missouri Route 5 at 3:50 Monday afternoon.
