MH Council to discuss bidding, purchasing at meeting

The Mountain Home City Council will consider five new ordinances and consider a third reading dealing with a dilapidated building during Thursday evening’s regular meeting.Under new business, the council will discuss waiving competitive bidding and authorizing purchase of multiple items.

The purchases include: three Dodge trucks; 15 glance connectivity and monitoring units; four RAS Pumps and four WAS pumps and accessories; a TR-60 70HP Aire-02 Triton aerator/mixer; and contractor services for the placement of a disconnect switch and manual transfer switch on the electrical generator system at the Water Treatment Plant.

The council will also consider a request to destroy old records.

A third reading will be heard on an ordinance ordering removal or razing of a residence located at 819 Cedar Street (corner of Cedar and Redbud streets).

The residence was one of two on the council’s agenda in November. The council heard the second reading of the ordinance at its last meeting.

The meeting is slated for 6 in the council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building.
