Two Pyatt residents arrested for drug sales

A pair of Pyatt residents remain jailed in the Marion County Detention Center after their arrest on drug charges Friday afternoon.

49-year-old Danny Dockter and 38-year-old Dawn Herrick were arrested on felony charges after law enforcement authorities served a warrant at Dockter’s residence. Dockter faces felony charges of three counts of delivery of methamphetamine; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms; possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Herrick, described as Dockter’s live-in girlfriend by Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of methamphetamine, according to electronic jail records. She is also being held for other agencies.

In August of last year, a narcotics investigation led to three controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Dockter at the residence. Dockter is being held on $40,000, while Herrick’s bond stands at $20,000.

Members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force participated in the raid.
