An Ozark County teen suffered serious injuries after he fell from the tailgate of a pickup truck and struck his head early Saturday evening in Ozark County. The 14-year-old male juvenile from Thornfield was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Ryan Graham of Thornfield was traveling 3 miles east of Thornfield on Ozark County Road 830 when the accident occurred. The teen was riding on the tailgate of Graham’s truck until he fell off the vehicle.
According to the report, Graham was not wearing a seatbelt in the 5:02 p.m. accident.
