MH Council to consider special election for community/aquatic center

The Mountain Home City Council will consider a trio of ordinances pertaining to a proposed community/aquatic center at Thursday’s regular meeting.The meeting will be will be held at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building.Two of the ordinances call for special elections in the City of Mountain Home to levy sales and use taxes to finance the construction, maintenance and operations of the facility. One ordinance would call for a one-quarter cent tax, while the other would call for half-cent tax to provide for the construction bond.

The third ordinance provides for a levy for the one-quarter cent sales and use tax.
