JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – Missouri’s presidential primary got off to a rough start with some equipment problems in the state’s most populous county and was later marred by an unusual car crash at a polling site. But overall, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft says Tuesday’s primary has gone fairly well. Some voters in St. Louis County left without casting ballots when the polling equipment used to check in voters had trouble syncing with its system. Later in St. Louis city, a man who had just voted backed his vehicle in to the polling place, then re-entered and began knocking down equipment. No one was injured, but it took nearly an hour before the polling site could be relocated.
