MHHS soccer teams open conference play with wins

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams opened 5A East Conference play at home Tuesday night with a pair of victories over Greene County Tech.

The Lady Bombers cruised to a 5-0 win. Lauren Helmert scored two goals, while Sarah Swonger, Olivia Weber and Grace Beckham each found the net once. Kirsten Stroud and Helmert each had three assists. Victoria Bevel had three saves in goal. The Lady Bombers had 46 defensive takeaways in the match.
The Mountain Home girls are now 3-2 on the season.

The Mountain Home boys improved to 1-1 on the campaign with a 1-0 victory over Greene County Tech. Francesco Marzapane scored the only goal on an assist by Javi Hernandez. Mountain Home out-shot the Eagles 22-1.

The J.V. boys’ match ended in a 0-0 tie.
