Viola Public Schools will be closed Thursday to allow students and staff the opportunity to attend the girls’ Class 1A state basketball championship game in Hot Springs, according to Superintendent John May.May also announced the meeting of the Viola School Board slated for this week has been canceled. The meeting will be rescheduled later this month. The makeup date for Thursday’s classes will be Friday, April 10.The Lady Longhorns take on the Kirby Lady Trojans at noon at Thursday at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
