Cotter Warrior Foundation fundraiser is April 4

The annual Cotter Warrior Foundation 10K, 5K walk/run is slated for Saturday, April 4, at Big Spring Park in Cotter.

The race will start under the rainbow arch bridge, and the course will run along the river. Runners in the 10K race will also run through the old downtown area of Cotter.

Race time is 8 a.m. and will be held rain or shine.

To preregister for the event, participants may print a registration form by clicking this link. Registration forms may also be picked up at Genuine Care Pharmacy in Gassville, the Cotter Youth Center and the Lockeroom in Mountain Home.

For those that preregister tickets are $15 for ages 18 and under and $20 for adults to run in the 5K; $20 for ages 18 and under and $25 for adults to run in the 10K. Those registering the day of the event should add an additional $5 to the listed entry fees.

Those that do not want to compete in the race may register as a “spirit runner” for $20 and receive a t-shirt.

Registration on race day will be from 7:30 to 7:50 a.m. in the park pavilion. Applications must be post marked by March 16 in order to receive a t-shirt on the day of the race. Other t-shirts will be distributed after the race.

All proceeds from the race will help the Cotter Warrior Foundation award scholarships to deserving Cotter seniors and to fund other worthy programs and activities at Cotter Public Schools.
