Cotter Warrior 10k/5k Walk/Run set for April

The Cotter Warrior 10k/5k Walk/Run is scheduled for April 4 in downtown Cotter. Proceeds will benefit the Cotter Warrior Foundation.

The day begins with registration from 7:30 to 7:50 under the pavilion at Big Spring Park. The race will start at 8 under the R.M. Ruthven Bridge and run along the White River. The 10k runners will also run through the old downtown area of Cotter.

For anyone pre-registering, applications must be postmarked by Monday. The 5k will cost $20 for adults and $15 for those 18 and under. The cost for the 10k is $25 for adults and $20 for ages 18 and under. Anyone wanting to support the race but unable to participate may register as a “spirit runner” for $20 and will receive a t-shirt. For those registering on race day, $5 will be added to the entrance fee.

The Cotter Warrior Foundation will use the proceeds to award scholarships to deserving Cotter seniors and fund other programs and activities of the Cotter School District.
