The Arkansas Activities Association will implement a dead period for all of its member schools due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19. Starting Tuesday, coaches will be prohibited from engaging in activities involving student athletes, including practice, training, weightlifting, tryouts, competition or travel. School athletic facilities will also be closed during this period.

Mountain Home Athletic Director Mitch Huskey says the dead period will not change any of the steps taken by the school district.
