The Donald W. Reynolds Library has announced its closure in an effort to further prevent the spread of coronavirus. The library in Mountain Home will be closed beginning Tuesday and continuing through March 29.
Library Director Kim Crow-Sheaner says the decision to close the library came following announcements and recommendations from a pair of government entities.
Library patrons with items checked out will not have to worry returning them. Late fees will not be charged through April 13. Crow-Sheaner is also encouraging residents to take advantage of the library’s online resources at baxlib.org.
During the library’s closure, Crow-Sheaner says employees will still have a job to do and will not have to worry about losing pay.
The Marion County Library has also announced it is cancelling its activities until further notice, including book chat, crafts, food for youth, game demos, game night, homeschool crafternoon and the teen/tween scene. The Friends of the Marion County Library’s book, bake and yard sale is postponed until further notice.
