Additional damage has been reported from Thursday night’s storms at the state line and further north. While there were no tornadoes reported in southern Missouri, a spokesperson from the National Weather Service office in Springfield says straight-line winds caused structural damage in Ozark and Howell counties.

The Bakersfield Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook includes pictures of residences on Missouri Route AR and Arkansas Highway 87. More damage was captured by the department on Howell County Road 7340.

Thursday’s storms also produced flooding issues. Bakersfield Baptist Church already had a leak in its basement from previous rains, and Thursday’s activity flooded it further. Services are canceled until the water stops coming in. In addition, a reader of the Ozark County Times captured a view of a flooded Missouri Highway 181 Friday morning at Hodgson Mill.
