A 48-year-old Oklahoma man appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court earlier this month and pled guilty to charges stemming from a violent domestic altercation in late 2017.

Stanley Lee Rowe had been on the run, but was found and extradited from Oklahoma in mid-December last year. When booked into the Baxter County jail, he listed a Muskogee, Oklahoma, address.

He was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay almost $3,000 in victim restitution. Rowe was charged with domestic battery and theft of property.

On Oct. 6, 2017, the female victim reported to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office that Rowe, who was identified as her live-in boyfriend, had struck her and held a butter knife to her throat after an argument.

The woman alleged Rowe continued to abuse her until the early morning hours. She said he then left their shared residence along State Highway 101 North taking her vehicle, a debit card, her cellphone and IPad.

The woman’s vehicle was located and recovered in Chouteau, Oklahoma. The car was reported damaged, accounting for the victim restitution Rowe was ordered to pay.
