MH mayor, former Jonesboro resident, discusses damage from Saturday’s tornado

Residents of Jonesboro are recovering after an EF-3 tornado with winds of 140 miles-per-hour struck the city Saturday evening. Hundreds of homes and businesses were either destroyed or damaged by the twister.

Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams, who served as postmaster of the Jonesboro post office for a number of years before returning to Mountain Home, has been in the northeast Arkansas city since Saturday night assisting residents. He provided this update Monday morning.
