The Mountain Home Kindergarten Center is changing its registration period due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A drive-thru registration period for the 2020-2021 school year is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday from noon to 6 and Wednesday and next Thursday from 9 to 2.

Faculty and staff will meet parents in the school’s front driveway at 1310 Post Oak Road. The right lane of the driveway will be for parents who have already completed the registration packet, and the left lane will be for parents to pick up blank registration forms.

Students set to enter kindergarten must be age 5 on or before Aug. 1. When parents drop off the registration packets, they will also need to bring their child’s birth certificate or hospital record, Social Security card, immunization record or appointment card and a kindergarten physical or appointment card. Staff will make copies of the documents on-site, and originals will be returned to the parents immediately.

Mountain Home Kindergarten Principal Janet Wood says the school is partnering with Arkansas State University-Mountain Home to provide free t-shirts. The “Class of 2033” shirts will go to the first 300 potential students registering for kindergarten.

Copies of registration forms are available under the parents tab at kindergarten.mhbombers.com. For parents interested in School Choice, forms can be located at mhbombers.com/parents/home and may be turned in during the registration period.
