Governor Asa Hutchinson and other state officials provided another update on Arkansas’s coronavirus situation Saturday afternoon, and during the press conference, some incorrect information was given on a portion of the Twin Lakes Area. Arkansas Secretary of Health Dr. Nate Smith said eight residents of a nursing home in Marion County tested positive for COVID-19, when in fact, the county has no positive cases of the virus.

Dr. Smith said the positive test results were from Willowbend Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in the city of Marion in Crittenden County. Marion County’s three senior residential homes are Flippo’s Carefree Living in Bull Shoals, Twin Lakes Therapy and Living in Flippin and the Community Compassion Center in Yellville. Marion County Judge John Massey says as of Saturday, the county has had zero positive cases, and 15 tests came back negative.

If Marion County is notified of a positive test result, the public will be notified as soon as possible.
