Neal Preston/© Queen Productions Ltd.Last week, Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor posted a video that combined separate clips of the two musicians performing their band’s classic hit, “We Are the Champions.” Now a new video featuring singer Adam Lambert adding vocals to the mix has debuted online.
You can check out the clip at May’s official YouTube channel and on all three artists‘ Instagram sites. What makes the performance particularly interesting is that at the end, Lambert changes the lyrics of the chorus, singing “you are the champions” rather than “we are the champions,” apparently as a tribute to people’s heroism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Accompanying the video is the hashtag #YouAreTheChampions.
On his website, May also posted the message, “Love to you all.”
