The third installment of The Grateful Dead‘s weekly streaming concert series, “Shakedown Stream,” will premiere this Friday, April 24, at 8 p.m. ET on the band’s official YouTube channel. This screening will feature a June 11, 1993, show that the Dead played at Buckeye Lake Music Center — now called Legend Valley — in Thornville, Ohio.
This will mark the first time that nearly all of this concert has ever been shown. Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux [leh-MYOO] says the show’s set list “was filled with excellent renditions of older, classic Dead songs like ‘Jack Straw,’ ‘Eyes of the World,’ ‘Uncle John’s Band’ and ‘Playing in the Band,’ along with three…newer songs: ‘Lazy River Road,’ ‘So Many Roads’ and ‘Corrina.'”
Lemieux also notes that this was the only concert that the group played the Bob Dylan songs “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues” and “When I Paint My Masterpiece” back to back.
As with the first two “Shakedown Stream” events, this one will be accompanied by an on-camera live pre-show featuring Lemieux and Grateful Dead historian Gary Lambert. They will be joined this week by Dead enthusiast Jesse Jarnow.

Each livestream will feature a “donate now” button where you can give money to support a chosen charity, with this week’s donations going to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
