Rob Shanahan; Vera Harder; Karsten StaigerA new week brings two new episodes of AXS TV’s @Home and Social online Q&A sessions, taking place today and Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET, respectively. The events, which you can watch on the network’s Facebook page, feature artists chatting about what they’re up to as they shelter from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today’s episode features Emilio Castillo, co-founder and tenor sax player for the famed Bay Area band Tower of Power. The group released a new studio album titled Step Up last month.

Tuesday’s @Home and Social guests will be two members of Foreigner — keyboardist Michael Bluestein and guitar Bruce Watson. The musicians recently launched a YouTube video podcast called V.I.B., or Very Important Beer, that features them playing some tunes and discussing music and their favorite hops-based beverages as they self-isolate.

In addition, Bluestein recently debuted a video for an original solo song called “Why Corona?” that you can check out on Foreigner’s YouTube channel. Michael sings and plays guitar and piano on the witty, coronavirus-themed tune.

The @Home and Social series is hosted Katie Daryl, who also hosts the AXS TV show The Top Ten Revealed.

Tower of Power’s tour schedule is slated to get underway again with a four-night stand, May 21-24, at Jazz Alley in Seattle, although it remains to be seen if the shows take place as planned considering the coronavirus crisis.

As for Foreigner, after recently postponing some U.S. headlining concerts this month because of the pandemic, the band still is scheduled to launch a European trek in June, which is supposed to be followed by their 2020 Juke Box Heroes tour with Kansas and Europe. That outing is slated to kick off with a July 9 concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
