Rick Kern/WireImageFounding Bad Company and Free drummer Simon Kirke will be the featured guest on the first installment of the Road Recovery organization’s new online series, Random Acts of Outreach, which will be streamed at Facebook Live this Saturday, May 2, at 5 p.m. ET.

Kirke will give an intimate performance and take part in a Q&A during the multimedia event, which will raise awareness about and funds for the charity’s Virtual Trax Programs that offer peer support and music workshops for at-risk youth.

Simon is a longtime board member and mentor for Road Recovery, a nonprofit that seeks to aid young people battling addiction and other issues with help from musicians and other celebrities who have gone through similar struggles. As part of the charity’s programs, musicians will team up with young participants to put on concert events and organize recording projects.

“Road Recovery allows me to share my talents and life experiences with our young people,” Kirke says in a statement. “The kids always give me more than I try to give them!”

Kirke continues to tour with Bad Company, and he also is a solo artist whose latest studio album, All Because of You, was released in 2017.
