A 47-year-old Mountain Home man was injured Tuesday morning when his motorcycle collided with an SUV on U.S. Highway 62B in front of the Tobacco Station USA.

Travis Michael Prillwitz suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported by Baxter Regional Medical Center via ambulance, according to a vehicle crash report by Sgt. Bryan Corbett of the Mountain Home Police Department (MHPD).

The report states the accident occurred when an SUV driven by 19-year-old Jessy Araina Cleveland pulled from North Church Street into the path of Prillwitz’s 2010 Honda. Corbett writes Prillwitz was westbound on the highway when Cleveland pulled from the stop sign into the path of the motorcycle. Cleveland stated her vision was blocked by a tractor-trailer delivery truck unloading cargo at the store.

The motorcycle struck the SUV in the driver’s-side corner, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision.

No citations were noted in the report, though it was noted Cleveland failed to yield the right of way. Prillwitz was wearing a helmet at the time of the 8:34 a.m. crash.
