MH man arrested for multiple thefts

A Mountain Home man has been arrested in connection with multiple thefts from area businesses. Thirty-one-year-old John Robert Bryant is facing four felony and two misdemeanor charges.

According to the probable cause affidavit by Mountain Home Police, Bryant allegedly stole four fishing rods from a local business April 14 valued at $480 and then sold them at a local pawn shop.

Bryant, following his arrest for that theft, admitted to police he had stolen items worth a total of $640 in the April 14 theft. He also admitted to three other thefts from Mountain Home businesses totaling $778 and to a theft of $559 of merchandise from a business in Flippin.

Bryant is facing four felony counts of theft of property during a state emergency and two misdemeanor counts of theft of property. He is free after posting $5,000 bond.
