Jorgen Angel/RedfernsPink Floyd recently launched a free live-concert series at the band’s YouTube channel, premiering a different archival performance each Friday as part of the YouTube #StayHome #WithMe Film Festival.
The latest installment, debuting today at 12 p.m. ET, is An Hour with Pink Floyd: KQED, which features footage of the band playing a six-song set at a San Francisco cable-TV station on April 1970.
The film, which was released as part of Pink Floyd’s 2016 box set The Early Years 1965-1972, features performances of “Atom Heart Mother,” “Cymbaline,” “Grantchester Meadows,” “Green Is the Colour,” “Careful with that Axe Eugene,” and “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun.”
An Hour with Pink Floyd: KQED will be viewable on the band’s YouTube channel until May 17.
In conjunction with YouTube’s #StayHome #WithMe Film Festival, fans are encouraged to donate money to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, which helps provide medical care to coronavirus patients and supplies and information to frontline workers, and also supports efforts to develop vaccines and treatments to fight the pandemic.
