The day commonly known as Giving Tuesday is normally the first Tuesday following the Thanksgiving holiday, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a special date has been set for this week. #GivingTuesdayNow is scheduled for this Tuesday, May 5, as a day to continue the global generosity movement as a response to the unprecedented need caused by the virus, and one of the organizations participating is the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
Food Bank CEO Jeff Quick says the local organization, like others, has been affected by the new coronavirus, especially when it comes to feeding children while schools remain closed.

Quick adds the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas has also had opportunities to distribute food directly to individuals.
