New LSD-themed Netflix documentary 'Have a Good Trip' features Sting, Donovan and many more stars

Courtesy of NetflixSting, Donovan and Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann appear in a new documentary titled Have a Good Trip that features various musicians, actors and comedians discussing their good and bad experiences with hallucinogenic drugs.

The film, which premieres May 11 on Netflix, also features surreal animated segments that bring the stars’ recollections to life. In addition, the movie explores the positive and negative aspects of hallucinogens, and well as examining the science behind them, their history, their place in popular culture and more.

In a trailer for the flick, Sting comments, “I don’t think psychedelics are the answer to the world’s problems, but they could be a start.” He also talks about an incident where, while on a trip, he was walking and heard the grass talking to him.

In another segment of the preview, Kreutzmann recalls that while playing a show on acid, his cymbals were melting, adding, “You can take too much, and that’s a mistake.”

Other celebrities featured in the film include Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys, rapper A$AP Rocky, the late Carrie Fisher, Rosie Perez, Ben Stiller, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Silverman, Adam Scott, Nick Offerman, Will Forte, Nick Kroll, David Cross, Lewis Black and the late Anthony Bourdain.

Have a Good Trip was written and directed by veteran TV writer and producer Donick Cary, whose credits include The Simpsons, Just Shoot Me, Parks and Recreations, Bored to Death, New Girl and Silicon Valley.
