Two people were taken into custody Wednesday morning in Marion County when law enforcement acted on information received from the community regarding possible drug activity at a Pyatt residence.

The 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force reports a resident at the Pyatt home, 47-year-old Joe Chrisman, and a female, 48-year-old Shannon Cockrum, were arrested with charges pending of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by receiving. Online jail records indicate Cockrum is from Harrison. Chrisman is on probation with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.

The task force, assisted by officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, seized one ounce of meth, along with a reported stolen motorcycle, unidentified pills, a small quantity of marijuana and over $7,100 in currency.

Online jail records indicate Chrisman’s bond has been set at $125,000, while Cockrum’s is at $45,000.
