Docuseries 'Final 24,' profiling deaths of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and other stars, to air on AXS TV

Courtesy of AXS TVAXS TV has acquired the rights to all 14 episodes of the Final 24 docuseries, which profiles the last hours of various late celebrities, including some famous rock stars.

The show, which originally aired for two seasons in 2006 and 2007 on other networks, will premiere on AXS TV on June 3 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with an episode examining the death of Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious.

Among the other music artists whose deaths are the focus of Final 24 episodes are Doors singer Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Marvin Gaye and Who drummer Keith Moon.

Each program runs an hour long, and features dramatizations, archival footage and interviews to help offer a rounded look at the details surrounding each death.
