Courtesy of Live NationForeigner had been slated to launch its 2020 Juke Box Heroes tour with Kansas and Europe on July 9 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but like so many other treks, the outing has now has been canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We were very much looking forward to seeing you all at what promised to be a memorable evening of classic rock hits with Kansas and Europe this summer,” says Foreigner guitarist and band leader Mick Jones in a statement.
“We are grateful that so many of you had purchased tickets and we were looking forward to the tour as much as you were. We will get through this together and can’t wait to see you all again as soon as safely possible.”
One of the tour dates, a July 22 concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, has been rescheduled for the same date in 2021. That show now will feature a special orchestral performance by Foreigner, without Kansas or Europe. Tickets purchased for the 2020 Red Rocks concert will be honored for the 2021 show.
Jones adds, “We will be announcing the rest of our plans for 2021 shortly, and we hope to see you then!”
