A man found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop pled guilty to the charges against him in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Twenty-nine-year-old Aaron Kyle Francis, who lists a Jonesboro address, was put on probation for six years.

Francis was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Mountain Home Police in late February. According to court records, the stop was made because the driver was reported to have had a suspended license and an active arrest warrant.

Francis admitted to the officer he had a smoking pipe and syringe in his pocket. According to the probable cause affidavit, the residue in the pipe was consistent with methamphetamine.

In addition, another syringe was found in a backpack laying on the back seat of the vehicle. Francis admitted ownership of the backpack.

A syringe was found in the backpack containing a crystalline substance field testing positive for methamphetamine.

According to court records, Francis has cases in other counties. A case listed as open in Randolph County charges him with drug-related felony offenses.
