4 area residents injured in 2-vehicle crash

Four area residents were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries following a two-car crash in Taney County Monday afternoon. Three of the injured are from Harrison.

The driver of one of the vehicles, 21-year-old Willow Waggoner, suffered what the Missouri State Highway Patrol termed moderate injuries, while her passengers, 17-year old Lucas Lehman had serious injuries and 21-year-old Rainy Waggoner had minor injuries.

The driver of the other car, 45-year-old Kevin Wheeler of Forsyth, suffered moderate injuries.

All four were taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment.

The accident occurred when Willow Waggoner’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Wheeler’s vehicle head-on. Wheeler was the only person involved in the accident wearing a seat belt.

The accident happened on U.S. Highway 160, 3 miles west of Forsyth at 3:45 Monday afternoon.
