MH schools preparing for summer learning session

Mountain Home Public Schools are preparing for a summer learning session, although there’s no guarantee it will happen. Students finished the last two months of this past school year with off-site instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mountain Home Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says they are prepared for a summer session, if it is allowed.

Several hundred students have signed up for the summer session, and Long asks for parents to be patient, because it is a fluid situation.

The summer learning session is scheduled to run from July 6-30 from 8-3 each day. Again, no transportation will be provided per the Arkansas Department of Education.

The cost of the summer session is being covered by funding from the CARES Act.
