Area man injured after ejected from motorcycle towed by SUV

An area man was injured Friday night after he was thrown off a motorcycle being towed in Ozark County. Forty-year-old Christopher McKee of Caulfield was transported by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with what were described as serious injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an SUV driven by 27-year-old Chase Williams of Caulfield was towing the motorcycle 6 miles west of Caulfield on Ozark County Road 349. McKee was reportedly on the motorcycle as it was towed and was ejected from it. He was not wearing a helmet.

Williams was not injured. The SUV reportedly had minor damage in the 9 p.m. accident.
