A Mountain Home man, 60-year-old Mark Harry Hansen, has been arrested after a police officer pursued his vehicle to a residence along Campbell Place, with a revealing development when the suspect exited his truck.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the vehicle Hansen was driving on the evening of May 18 was observed displaying a bright white light due to a cracked taillight.

As the Mountain Home Police officer traveled behind Hansen’s vehicle, he reported seeing it cross the double yellow line of the highway twice and rolling past a stop sign.

The officer initiated the emergency lights and siren of his patrol unit on Arkansas Highway 5 north near Roller Funeral Home.

The pursued vehicle passed multiple areas where it could be pulled over safely, but continued on to the residence along Campbell Place.

The vehicle driver, late identified as Hansen, exited the truck and attempted to enter his residence. At that point, the officer noted Hansen “was naked, as he was not wearing underwear or pants.”

Hansen responded to the officer’s command to lie on the ground and was placed under arrest.

When the officer opened the door of Hansen’s vehicle, he observed a clear glass pipe with white residue in the driver’s seat.

A check of the Arkansas Crime Information Center database indicated Hansen’s driver’s license was suspended for DWI.

He has been charged with five misdemeanor counts–possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing by vehicle, driving left of center, defective tail lamps and driving DWI suspended license. His bond was set at $5,000.
