A 50-year-old Ava man received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Douglas County.According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Anthony C. Capps was hurt in the accident, which occurred on State Highway 75, 2 miles easy of State Highway U.
Capps was driving a dump truck when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
Capps was transferred via ambulance to Cox South hospital in Springfield for treatment of his injuries.
