A one-vehicle accident Friday night in Ozark County resulted in the death of a local man. Thirty-seven-year-old Antonio Aguilar of Tecumseh was pronounced dead after being transported by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Aguilar was traveling on U.S. Highway 160 nearly 4 miles east of Gainesville when his SUV ran off the right side of the roadway. The SUV returned to the road, crossed the centerline, ran off the left side, impacted a driveway, became airborne and overturned. Aguilar was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.
Aguilar’s death is the 10th fatality reported by Troop G this year, compared to nine at the same time in 2019. His SUV was totaled in the 8:25 p.m. accident.
