Ozark Opportunities, Inc., has announced its Winter Emergency Utility Assistance Program will end on Wednesday. Anyone already utilizing this low-income home energy assistance program can apply for a second time.
The total benefit maximum has been increased to $1,000. Those already receiving a $400 benefit during the winter are still eligible to apply for up to another $600 in assistance.
A disconnect notice is not necessary during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ozark Opportunities is encouraging anyone with a bill reflecting a past due amount that is more than can be paid to contact a local office.
Anyone needing to contact the Baxter or Marion county offices may call 870-425-5118, and Marion County residents can also call 870-449-6250. The Searcy County office can be reached at 870-448-2414 or 501-757-0155. Boone and Newton county residents may call 870-741-2089, and those in Newton County may also call 870-446-2222. More information can also be found online at ozarkopp.org.
Opening dates for the Summer Energy Assistance Program will be announced at a later time.
