A fire Sunday afternoon has destroyed the former Rusty Rail Restaurant and Bar in Ozark County. The former restaurant building, which was being used as a residence, was located on Missouri State Highway J, at the state line.

Lick Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jerry Rowlett says the owner, Randy Jones, was working on a RV in the yard when it caught fire and caught the building on fire. Rowlett says mutual aid was provided in fighting the fire by the Clarkridge, Oakland/Promiseland, Pontiac, Timberknob, Gainesville and Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Departments.

The building was destroyed, as was an RV parked behind the building. Firemen were able to save a garage building nearby.
