The Lutie R-VI School District will be hosting an emergency food distribution Friday morning from 10 until noon. The distribution will be held in the school parking lot, with members of the Missouri National Guard scheduled to be on hand to assist in loading boxes into the vehicles of recipients. A drive-thru distribution in front of the school will allow recipients to remain in their vehicles.

A letter from School Superintendent Scot Young notes the food to be distributed is from the Ozark Food Harvest warehouse in Springfield, along with produce from Farm to Family.

There are no income requirements in order to receive food from the emergency distribution, and it is not limited to residents who have children in the Lutie School District. Instead, it is open to all members of the community who have registered in advance.

Those interested in participating are asked to call the Lutie School at 417-273-4274 and have their name added to the distribution list.
