1st confirmed COVID-19 case reported in Ozark County

The first confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus in Ozark County has been reported.

The Ozark County Health Department in a Facebook post late Friday morning reported the individual testing positive has been notified. Health officials advise they are working with the Howell County Health Department and following Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding isolation.

The positive case is not reflected as of late Friday afternoon on the Show Me Strong Missouri Recovery Plan website.

The website indicated Ozark’s neighbor to the west, Taney County, has reported 30 positive cases with two deaths, Howell County to the east has reported 31 positive cases and no deaths and Douglas County to the north has reported three positive cases and no deaths.
