Pyeatt signs with Arkansas State for cross country, track

Another Mountain Home High School student athlete is preparing to compete on the collegiate level. Jacob Pyeatt signed a national letter of intent Thursday to join the cross country and track and field programs at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

Pyeatt says his decision to become a Red Wolf came after visiting the campus with Coach Jesse Duvall.

Pyeatt helped lead the Bombers’ cross country team to the Class 5A state championship in November. He was one of five Mountain Home boys named to the All-State team.

Pyeatt says his time at Mountain Home helped prepare him for the next level, and he believes the Bomber coaches are the best in the state.

The Mountain Home graduate is the son of Richard and Mary Ann Pyeatt of Mountain Home.
