Twin Lakes Classic ends pool play Saturday; Lockeroom coach looks for 1,000th win

Saturday will be another busy day of American Legion baseball. The 34th annual Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic will continue at Cooper Park as pool play comes to an end.

A milestone will be sought in the final game of the day, as Mountain Home’s senior squad meets Scott City, Missouri. Lockeroom head coach Lester White will be looking for his 1,000th win. The first pitch at Lester White Field is scheduled for 7:45.

The Mountain Home junior team will go up against another area team. MacLeod will take on North Central Arkansas at 4.

In the earlier games, Russellville faces Pontotoc, Mississippi, at 10 a.m., Batesville plays Paragould at noon, and Harrison will be matched up with Memphis Gossett Motors at 2.

Prior to the last game of the day, a cake and pie auction will be held at 6:15.
