Mountain Home Public Schools release FAQ about upcoming academic year

Mountain Home Public Schools have released a frequently asked questions (FAQ) document about the upcoming school year. School officials say they have received a number of questions from both internal and external stakeholders throughout the planning process for the 2020-2021 school year. With help from their Ready for Learning Committee, they have compiled a list of questions and their current responses to these questions. As more guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) and the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is released, some of these answers will likely change. These answers will be updated as new information is released.
Some of the highlights to the FAQ include:
-Two instructional delivery methods will be used: blended, which is students mostly in class with remote learning when needed, and remote learning, where all learning is done off-site.
-A survey goes out to parents July 6 allowing them to pick the method best for their child or children.
-Masks for students will not be required but will be encouraged.
-Details about where and when students will eat lunch are still being worked out.
-Early on, no guests will be able to eat lunch with students.
-In the case of a positive COVID-19 test, the latest ADH guidelines will be followed, and individual campuses may be closed. For the complete FAQ, click here.
