MacLeod gets swept by North Central Arkansas

Friday was a tough day for the Mountain Home MacLeod American Legion baseball team as they were swept by North Central Arkansas at Lester White Field.

MacLeod fell 13-6 in the first game. Payton Evans suffered the loss after pitching 1 2/3 relief innings. Gunner Gleghorn was credited with the win with 4 1/3 innings of relief. Brett Manes led the Mountain Home offense with two hits and two RBIs, and Reed Ellison and Rhett Carter each provided two hits and drove in a run. For North Central Arkansas, Denton Riley and Gleghorn each had two hits and four RBIs.

MacLeod did not fare any better in the second game. Mountain Home lost to North Central Arkansas 9-4.

MacLeod drops to 4-5 on the season, and they’ll travel to Flippin on Monday.
