An Independence County woman convicted of theft of property in Izard County is among 10 people Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson says he is recommending for a pardon.

Sandra R. Liles of Batesville was convicted of the felony charge in 1998.

Liles’ application for a pardon was approved based on her having completed all terms of her sentence and not having any further criminal law violations. In addition, there are no law enforcement objections to Liles’ application.

There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notice of the pardon before final action is taken.
