Jason Kirby, president of Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services and Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery, recently presented a check for $3,500 to Dan Hall and George Wolford of the Veterans Suicide Prevention Program.

The grant award was made possible from the Gretchen and Alfred Pederson Veteran Endowment. This endowment was set up through the Twin Lakes Community Foundation.

“As grant advisors, Jessica and I are proud to take part in the opportunity to strengthen the organizations program and outreach to make a meaningful impact on reducing veteran suicide rates in our country,” says Kirby. “We believe the well-being of our servicemen and women is vital to the health of our local communities.”
