Lockeroom finishes regular season with sweep of Harrison

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team wrapped up the regular season with a doubleheader sweep of Harrison at home Monday night.

Mountain Home took the first game 12-2. Offensively for the Lockeroom, Garrett Steelman had three hits and drove in three runs, Chase Orf had three hits, Carter Graves had two hits and two RBIs, and Dawson Tabor walked three times while driving in two runs. On the mound, Mountain Home pitchers allowed just one hit. Noah Everett worked three and a third innings with four strikeouts, while Jim Strider punched out six in just two and two third innings.

In the second game, Mountain Home cruised past Harrison 8-2. Carter Bagwell and Jake Hutson each drove in a pair of runs for Mountain Home. Tyler Smith got the win, racking up 12 strikeouts in five innings of work.

The Lockeroom is off until the Arkansas American Legion AAA State Tournament begins July 21 in Bryant. The Lockeroom will face Texarkana in their first round game.
