A 51-year-old Midway woman was sentenced to four years in prison on drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court July 9.

Cheryl Jackson’s vehicle was stopped on Arkansas Highway 178 by an Arkansas State Police trooper in early May, after a check revealed she had a suspended driver’s license.

The trooper who made the stop in May was the same one who had stopped Jackson in December, when drugs and paraphernalia used to ingest drugs were also found.

During a search in the May incident, the trooper reported finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
