Arkansas reports 728 new coronavirus cases, 11 new deaths

LITTLE ROCK (AP) — Arkansas on Tuesday reported 728 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 11 more people in the state have died from the illness caused by the virus.

The Health Department reported at least 34,655 people in the state have tested positive for the virus. The department said 6,998 of those cases are active.

The department said 374 people have died from COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus. The number of people hospitalized because of COVID-19 rose by 17 since Monday to 488.
