Boil water orders are in effect in three counties in northern Arkansas, according to the Arkansas Department of Health’s (ADH) website.An order is in place for Mountain View Waterworks in Stone County. Customers west of Lancaster Road on Arkansas Highway 87 are impacted.A Stone County Leader Facebook post notes the water system experienced a leak in a main lane at Highway 87 and Barnes Avenue Thursday evening. The leak left many customers without water and the placement of the boil order.

The boil order impacts all areas west of Lancaster Avenue at city hall, including areas outside of the city limits feeding off lines along Highway 87. This includes Barnes Avenue, Alamo Drive and the entire West Stone County Water Association.

Officials say if your water was off Thursday night, consider yourself under this boil order.

The post noted a large leak occurred Thursday afternoon, with a crew working until 2 a.m. Friday making repairs.

The ADH website notes customers of the West Stone County Water Association in Searcy, Stone and Van Buren counties are impacted by a boil order.

Water intended for consumption should be boiled for five minutes before being used. The orders will remain in effect until samples are cleared by the ADH.
